Growing up with Julie since the age of 6 "Uncle" Derek, as he will always be and "Auntie "Marianne always included me as part of the family. Uncle Derek had a wonderful way of building confidence in me to have a go at something new. He taught me to swim which I wouldn't have achieved when I did without him. He always gave support and an encouraging word when I was struggling and times were tough and never failed to make me smile and laugh. He had a wonderful sense of humour and was incredibly loyal and caring to us all. I feel honoured to have had him and Auntie Marianne in my life. Uncle Derek will be sadly missed by so many.
